Dream and Meme cocktail...

Dream Foo:
Yet another in an exciting series of creative works while my brain is asleep!

Anyway, the basic structure of the dream was that I was watching out for a young relative (cousin perhaps or neice, but none in particular, probably just an amalgamation) and in order to keep her busy (and away from messing something up on one of my computers) I was making up and telling her a story on the spot.

There was a subplot (of the dream, not of the story in the dream) of me having my old BBS I used to run still there, and seeing a sudden flurry of activity on it and wanting to check it out but kept on getting distracted.

Anyway, the general idea of the story was:
There once was a boy called the Mexican Wild Boy. He wasn't actually born in Mexico, he was born in the United States, but it was on a trip to Mexico he went wild. His eyes went crazy red, like the color of his hair, and he started biting and attacking people.

He travelled around the country, raising an army of wild children, some with their thumbs bit off and then, after going south along one of mexico's coasts, crossed over and went north up the other coast. As he approached the border, the US didn't want an army of young wild kids in the country being wild, so they sent Superman to stop them.

So Superman faced them and the wild boy was going to get his army to attack him, but Superman gave him a challenge. He said "I bet I can bite through my tongue more than you can." All of the Wild Boy's army gasped, because that was the basis of his hold over them - he could withstand pain more and self-inflict it. And, when he won, he bit off the thumbs of his opponents. So, once challenged, the Wild Boy couldn't back away, and they both stuck out their tongues and bit it, but because Superman is superman he could keep it up forever and finally Wild Boy had to give up and was defeated.

Again, I never said the creative works of my subconsious are _good_, just amused I have them.

At this point, the story finished, I tried to load up Black and White and show the kid how to play it, figuring it'd be fairly intuitive and keep her out of trouble while I checked on stuff going on on the other computers.

Oh, and the other night I had a sweet Veronica Mars dream. It started as a typical 'school dream', but as I was leaving the librariteria (it was a combination library and cafeteria), someone approached me with a problem - someone had identity-thefted them or something. So I told them where to find Veronica Mars in the librariteria. Then it flashed forward to us being undercover and trying to get into the hotel room of the suspected identity thief. We had this big water bottle (the kind that go in the office dispensers) and spilled it out over the floor to simulate some kind of maintenance failure and then knocked on the door to try and 'fix' somthing. Anyway me (as Wallace) took a picture with my camera phone of the person who turned out to be dating the sister of the person who hired Veronica.
