Just reading through your entry. Power and internet's still here, through some miracle, but I can't believe it'll last long. Good to hear you're okay though too. Seems you saw a lot more actual carnage than I did. I was lucky enough to avoid, mostly.

We have food set for a couple days, theoretically at least. We're filling the bathtub and sinks with water for drinking. The problem is we live on the 4th floor of an apartment. While that helps defend us, it means once the power goes out we can't easily do anything like light a fire to cook (and are at the mercy of anyone else who thinks that's a good idea). Maybe we can unite with some of the neighbors and see if we can get roof access to do a cook-spot and water collection place like in 28 days later. As long as no infected-but-not-turned people get in, we should be relatively safe for the time being from physical attacks, though. If this somehow is not supernatural in origin, there may be some hope of the zombies tapering off eventually from either lack of food/energy/water, or from them feasting on each other in the absence of anything else, or even just them getting bored and finding somewhere else to hunt, we might be able to make trips out after that.

I wish I'd had the presence of mind to try and grab a copy of 'How to survive a zombie apocalypse'. While I was trying to get home I passed a bookstore in an area the hordes hadn't been to yet, but didn't want to stop for fear of getting pinned. Now a trip to the bookstore is just sofar and dangerous it's practically impossible, unless it's part of an overall move to a safer area.
