I can't really comment on this series of Heroes as I've only seen one episode so far. I'll try and hit the rest this week.

And certainly, some shows are written by committee. But that isn't always a bad thing. ER, for example, always had that and it's still pretty much as strong as it ever was 13 years in, IMO. But other shows don't benefit from that approach.
