I'm with you on the strike things--especially the residuals. It adds incentive for the writer to make the best script possible so it is good enough to be rebroadcast--I mean, wouldn't you want to be the guy that wrote Law and Order? That's on TV down here like, all the time. Seriously. If you flip through cable, there will be Law and Order somewhere.

It's no different if it's broadcast on the Internet, and indeed, writers of books who publish digital editions receive royalties for those copies, and so on.

Most of their other demands are totally reasonable as well. 8 cents per DVD is not going to kill the studios. A lot of people opposed to the WGA side are also just opposed to unions in general, which is a sentiment I can't agree with at all really.
