Yeah, I was reading it a few days ago too. I'm a little leery of it, but I'm enough of a fanboy that I'll probably check it out if only to complain about how it's nowhere nearly as good as the original. ;) [obligatory fanboy snark]Fah! Casting an american! Typical![/obligatory fanboy snark] (actually, I always thought ASH would make a great No.6 for a remake).

I think McGoohan himself was one of the reasons I liked it so. He's got a very interesting face and demeanor. In fact, a few days ago, before his death, I was just thinking about how, in some alternate universe, it might have been cool if McGoohan was one of the Doctor Who's. He might have been an interesting choice. He was once tapped to play James Bond, but refused the role because he didn't like the character's morals (in fact, when he played a Secret Agent he had several conditions: the character always had to use his brain before using a gun, and no kissing). Since in the old school Doctor Who, that was practically the Doctor's whole way of being, it might have been really cool. Ah well, when I get my alternate-universe-viewing machine, I'm downloading from the universe! ;)
