I gotta say, I have to agree - these are a bit weaker than your other ideas. While I like the idea of the Outcasts, I don't think that it really works as a Klara-centered storyline. I'd much rather see a story arc where Klara deals with her new situation - she's a hundred years in the future, and nearly all of her friends are as strange and alien as this new world is. Heck, one of them's a lesbian, and another one practices witchcraft. There's all kinds of juicy stuff to go over right there.

I would like to explore why Klara decides to stay with the runners at all, as she really has plenty of good reasons to leave them for something safer and more stable.
