Sort of space operaish, based partly but not entirely on Star Trek. (At times I was archer)
Changeling: 'When our people made peace, I assumed that it would be our race who would wind up barely tolerate yours, rather than the reverse'.
If you can shift your form and think you're prejudiced against, then why do you choose to stand out?
Have to move to another space station... have them all over the galaxy.
"This looks exactly like the last one. It is exactly the last one. All the stations are the same. They're just of different times." (and possibly parallel universes?)
Each connected to different probability worlds at different times - in order to escape our pursuers have to fall down portal to a different reality. Each path had different 'warp level', and we needed to choose the third lowest level because we were being traced and it was unlikely they'd follow us through two levels before we could escape to another one and throw them off the scent.
Important thing to remember when you cross the border of portal: As soon as you get to the other side, remember as much as you can who you are and what you're doing there (ward off possibility of full, integration into the reality, past, present and future, to the exclusion of your identity)
Arrived after the jump, standing in a bathtub, blue peaceful room. Screamed as what looked like a legless body was there, was actually some weird statue. Bathroom was full of statues, many nude. Woman from that reality came to check if everything was all right, but after making sure I was okay didn't seem at all bothered that I appeared in her bathroom, just went back to watching TV.
Shortly after my changeling partner appeared.
