Work and some other foo
Apr. 10th, 2005 03:44 pmWork was okay. Tiring, but not too bad. Main problem was I couldn't really get a post-work nap in very easily because my mind was stuck coming up with a XET-parody song set to a song from Once More With Feeling related to an upcoming XET plot. Yeah, I'm lame, and it kept me up getting the last few lines. Ah well.
The TTC (public transit, for you non-Torontoites) strike starts tomorrow unless they come to a deal... luckily I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow, or Tuesday... but it's gonna suck if it's still on Wednesday when I have to do comics and work. The work isn't so bad, I do that Sundays anyway (although coming back will be the worst part of that).. the extra detour for comics may be a bit more difficult though.
And, to give the answer to my favorite Mythos race:
The Yithians:

Just look at that cute little... well, not so little, considering Yithians are about 10 feet tall... but cute little face! Actually, I like them because they're one of the more benign Mythos races on Earth, and, except for them not caring much if they interrupt your life for their scientific studies, they're downright courteous... while you're stuck in a Yithian body before the dawn of human civilization, they'll let you wander around, see the sights, and meet with other transplantees from your time. Sure, they won't let you _remember_ any of it, but they do seem to make a bit of effort to minimize the discomfort beyond what they think they need to do to get the job done.
