New Comic Day:

This week I got:

Batgirl #68 (Enjoyable, although I think my lack of knowledge might make me missing out on some of the enjoyment)
Birds of Prey #86 (Pretty fun stand-alone issue with a bunch of small stories)
Exiles #70 (Straightforward issue, fun enough and with interesting ramifications for the future)
Robin #142 (Ehh, Willingham's convinced me that I have no interest in this little plot)
Runaways #8 (My pick of the week, despite (or perhaps because of) the fact that it made me sad)
Supreme Power: Hyperion #1 (Introduction of a bunch of characters that don't really interest me all that much. Okay, but I'd hoped it would be better)
Ultimates 2 #8 (Quite good as usual, nice character work, even if I'm not believing all of what's going on)

Full reviews of all I got as usual up at my comic review site, for anyone interested. Some spoilers.

For lunch had a burger and charity subway pizza, this time with pepperoni.

Work was okay, but the guy showed up a bit later than usual and the load was a bit heavier than usual so I'm tired now.

Have you ever heard of a comic called Sojourn? I just picked up a few issues in a 3 for $1 bin and haven't read them yet, but it looks pretty cool.

The other series I have been into is 1602, but after the second part it got pretty boring.

Also, SO much stuff happens in the 3rd Serenity comic. I think the first two were a bit slow.

I've heard of Sojourn, but never read any of it - if I recall correctly, it's no longer being published, the publisher essentially went out of business a couple years ago. I've heard it's not bad, though.

The original 1602 (there's a new one, a sequel that's by a different author that I tried up and also gave up after the second part, but I'm not sure which you're referring to) wasn't bad, although probably of a bit more interest to Marvel fans in general.

Yeah, although I still felt a bit let down. Not that I didn't enjoy it, I just felt like it wasn't anywhere nearly as good as it should have been - I get the feeling this is the kind of thing where Whedon supplied the plot but the other writer did most of the actual dialogue, and so Whedon's special wit didn't really shine through.

It was a shining wit?
