New Comic Day + Work Bleh
Sep. 29th, 2004 07:53 pmNew Comic Day!
This week I got:
Daredevil #65 (Okay, bit gimmicky though)
Dr. Spectrum #2 (okay)
Guardians #4 (ehh, not feeling the series, but almost over)
Outsiders #16 (Best of the lot for change in the status quo, but only fairly good)
X-Men #162 (It's Austen. But my Xorn theory continues to be verified! ;))
I also picked up (on account of my store having a sale), but haven't read, The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Vol 2, and Batman: Death and the Maidens, in TPB form.
Full reviews are, of course, at The Unreachable Star - http://www.unreachablestar.net
At the used bookstore, I picked up "The Cassandra Complex", by Brian Stableford, and "Falling Free" by Lois McMaster Bujold (A Hugo or Nebula award winning novel. Can't remember which)
Also had a Gyro and Charity Subway Pizza. But while I was walking to the subway station, I unwrapped my gyro and a guy, probably a teenager, saw and/or smelled it and asked me how much it was and where I got it. Since I was less than a block away, I told him and pointed it out. So, I spread the word of the Gyro! ;)
Then, work. Bleh.
