newnumber6Okay, first, it's my birthday. I'm officially 28. Of course, because I consider it only my half-birthday (I was born on Good Friday, so that's the other half and only when I've gone through both halves do I privately consider myself 28), so to me personally I'm in a strange netherworld between 27 and 28. Not that it means anything to anybody else, it's a private conceit.
So, another year older, another year closer to death. That's about it. 28's not nearly as interesting a number, a boring birthday smack between 27 (3^3 years old) and 29 (prime number!).
Life's about the same as last year, I'm just not going to go on a whinefest about it like I did last year (in my defense I was sick, too). Holding on.
And moving on. Work today, of course. Nobody realized it was my birthday of course. Not much to report. The delivery guy was a Serbian from Yugoslavia so he asked a bit about my background on my Dad's family, since the cultures are pretty similar.
Also, on the walk home from work I ran into the nicest semi-aggressive panhandler I've met. I was walking while reading so he walked in front of me, asked me about the book, then launched into his whole song and dance. And it was a long one, and he kept making joking asides (that he just wanted to see if I could spare a few thousand dollars, that's all). The usual "I just want to get something to eat, I'm not on any drugs" and then admitted that he smoked a little weed now and then but 'that's nothing'.
So yeah, I gave him a twoonie. I mean even if he was lying about what he said, at least he seemed sincere about it and was doing more than sitting around with a hat out asking 'spare change?' to anyone who passed.
Except then furthur along on my way home, someone else asked me for some change, and I gave her some too. I suddenly suspect he got on the Panhandler's Internet (yes, they have one, it is secret, subtle, and independent of our own... just don't ask to see the porn) and said "Be on the lookout for a guy reading a book while he's walking north, he's a soft touch!". Well, okay, probably just coincidence. But hey, I was in a decent enough mood, and hey, count it all as a fair amount of 'social interaction' for the day.

If by 'gas tank' you mean 'stomach', then last night around 6ish.

Hmmm.. I think I might have spent like $100 on books or RPG stuff at
one go, that's about the most though.
4. Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you?
Just the handcuffs, but they don't count, I'm just borrowing them.
Seriously, there's one of those old plastic 'collector cups' (Star Trek
Generations) peeking out from a drawer that has some pink in it.
5. When is the last time you went to the mall?
You know, I'm not sure. Probably Xmas shopping, I figure I must have
gone to Eaton Centre.

Yep.
7. Do you have a car worth over $5,000?
No. I also don't have a car worth under $5,000, or one worth exactly $5,000.
8. When was the last time you drove out of town?
I've never personally drove out of town, as I don't drive. Last time I was
driven out of town was probably Xmas, headed to my Dad's place.
9. Have you been to the movies in the last 5 days?
Nope.
10. Are you popular?
I highly doubt it. If I am, it's somehow escaped my notice.
11. What was the last thing you had to drink?
Water.
12. What was the last thing you mailed in the mail?

I think I had a fast foodish gyro last, about two weeks ago. Not counting free donuts and such.

Can't remember. Probably a ferry to Center Island many years ago.

Never a sleepaway camp (well, except maybe one called Mono Cliffs that was technically part of school and done during the school year so I don't count it), but when I was young I was at 'Zoo Camp' for a couple years.. Just a
day camp at the zoo learning about animals and such.

Much of the time, yeah.

Well, I'm not in school right now and our Canadian GPAs do not match your Earth GPAs anyway I think.

Nope.

A little, yeah.
But the truth is, I'm pretty well _always_ hungry except for about an hour after a big meal. I just don't act on it very often.

No. I also do not own a cowboy.

Yes, hot sauce is great. In fact hot (luto, not jeshko... for those who don't speak Macedonian, 'luto' means 'spicy hot' as opposed to 'jeshko' which means temperature-hot. I'm probably mangling the spelling, but ah well, the point is made - we're smart enough to distinguish between the two with one word! ;)) should be the default position. Anything not hot should be called 'mild'. So 'chicken' would be spicy chicken automatically. 'mild chicken' would not burn your tongue any, and what's the fun of that.

No.
46. Do you need to do laundry?
I'm about in the middle of a cycle, so I'm good for now.

I dunno. Some. Mostly online.
