Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] anomilygrace, who I've never RPed with so I couldn't respond, but I have RPed with a bunch of people on my flist and nostalgia can be fun...
Comment with an instance, a scene, a plot, a moment that you really enjoyed something my character did. It can be a bit of crack, it can be something serious, it can be pr0n then post this meme in your journal and let's share the love! Cause smiles are always good especially in relation to RP games.

Rule: Post the explanation of where your user name came from. Then tag FIVE users whose explanations you would like to hear. If you are tagged, post your explanation to your page.

I've done it before, but just for the sake of completion...
I've often used the alias Number6 way back when I was on IRC and such frequently. It's from the Prisoner. Anyway, when I first got an invite to LJ (back when it was still invite-based), I was in a kick of rewatching the Prisoner, so when it came time to choose an alias, I wanted to go with number6. Of course, that name was taken (by someone who seemed to never use it). So was numbersix. So I went with newnumber6. Not tagging anyone because I think I've heard most people... but if you haven't explained it and want to, go nutes.

And here's a couple more also from [livejournal.com profile] locker_monster:

Buffy 10 Year anniversary meme:

Rules are simple: Fan of Buffy? Consider yourself tagged (but not obliged to answer. Don't want to pressure anyone here). 10 questions for 10 years. Answer them in reply and on your own journal. Feel free to add your own questions...

1. When did you start watching Buffy?
I caught the second part of the two part premiere. Since it was on a Canadian channel it might not have been on the exact night of the first premiere in the US, but it was close.
2. Why did you start watching Buffy?
To be honest, it was a "I'm bored, so I'm going to watch this almost certainly lame show and mock it," type situation.
3. What was the first episode you ever saw?
Welcome to the Hellmouth, part 2.
4. What was your initial reaction to the show?
I was surprised at how much I liked it, and made a note to try and keep watching it.
5. Describe three ways your opinions/attitudes/ideas about the show have changed since you first started watching.
1. Well, I guess the above one, where I thought the show would suck and be highly mockable, but turned out to really enjoy it.
2. I went from crushing (in the way I do on fictional characters sometimes) on Willow in the first two years to not caring much about her by S4 (for those drawing any incorrect conclusions, this was _before_ the relationship with Tara, which I liked on the whole even if I thought they made the change to her sexuality very awkwardly. The lack of had more to do with going full witchy superpowered rather than being just a geek, and to an extent the whole 'cheating on Oz' situation)
3. At some point, probably around mid season 2, it went from 'a show I kinda dig' to my favorite show on the air.
6. What are your five favourite episodes?
Becoming Part 2, Once More With Feeling, Hush, Halloween, and... Dopplegangland. These are off the top of my head, though, and so subject to change the next time the question is asked.
7. What are your five favourite moments?
Buffy stabbing Angel to send him into hell, _after_ he got his soul back, is probably the top one.
Giles's grief over the death of Jenny and Buffy comforting him.
Some moments with soulless Spike doing the right thing out of love for Buffy... all of them sort of mesh together, but for a forinstance, the one where he refuses to divulge the identity of the Key to Glory, under torture, because doing so would hurt Buffy. And of course, the line "We will bring you the bloody and beaten body of Bob Barker!" came from that.
Buffy's conversation with Webs in Conversations with Dead People
In Once More with Feeling the gang realizing that they rescued Buffy from Heaven, rather than Hell like they'd all been thinking.
8. Will you still be a fan in ten more years?
Probably, yeah. I mean, it might be the kind of thing where I love it more for nostalgia's sake than for other reasons, but I love a lot of things for nostalgia so I'm sure Buffy will be one of them.
9. A hundred years from now, when Buffy is taught in highschools across the land, which episodes will make it onto the syllabus?
All of them. I mean, really, if it's being taught in High Schools, all of them are important! Even 'Beer Bad', although more because it's a useful anti-alcohol message for high school youths.
10. How has Buffy affected you?
It's given me super powers! ... oh, it hasn't? Drat. Uhm... well, it's given me a better sense of genre conventions and how and when to subvert them, which might be useful if I ever establish a writing career.
11. What Buffy character would you most like to hang out with?
Probably Xander cause we could geek out about comics and such.

Finally, a few assorted surveys stolen from [livejournal.com profile] randyandrews...

50 short questions Survey!

Sleep with or without clothes on?
I do both, depending on the day and temperature. Usually I wear something though.

Prefer black or blue pens?
black I guess but don't really care.

Dress up on Halloween?
I always want to, but I almost never actually do.

Like to travel?
No. I'd like to like to travel. I'd like to see different places, but the travelling itself stymies me. Being able to teleport would solve so many problems.

Like Someone?
I think that part of my brain has been shut off to save me from disappointment. It only activates in very limited degrees.

Do they know?
I doubt it.

Who sleeps with you every night?
Nobody

Think you're attractive?
Not really. I'm thoroughly average.

Want to get married?
I doubt it'll ever happen.

To:
A rich superheroine. Why not aim high?

Are you a good student?
When I was a student, I was a reasonably high-achieving one. Though I don't think I was a 'good' one since I was also lazy and didn't study much.

No, but who expects happiness?

Have you ever cheated?
In relationships, no. In various other mediums, sometimes.

Been cheated on?
No.

A military base in BC.

Christmas or Halloween?
I like Halloween better stylistically, but enjoy Christmas for the family gathering stuff.

Colored or black-and-white photo?
colored. I don't get black and white in general - same as for artwork. I know its wrong, but I totally lose interest in a comic if I hear it's in black and white.

Do long distance relationships work?
I would imagine they'd have to sometimes, but they'd be harder and require commitment from both sides.

Do you believe in astrology?
No

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Not love as such, but emotions which could develop into love, sure.

Do you consider yourself the life of the party?
Almost the opposite.

Do you drink?
No

Do you make fun of people?
Occasionally, though I feel guilty about it and try not to.

Do you think dreams eventually come true?
No, though I wish.

Favorite fictional character?
I'm sorry, it is impossible to choose just one.

Nothing really of note, when I was a kid, mostly.

How's the weather right now?
Sunny, starting to warm up, a nice breeze.

Last spring.

Last person you talked to on the phone?
Uhm... a step brother, I think. I was just relaying the phone to my brother though.

Last night

Loud or soft music?
None. If I have to have one or the other, soft.

McDonalds or Burger King?
I don't really eat either, so I don't really have a preference.

I'm awake more in the day, so... night.

Number of pillows?
2. One under my head, one over my eyes.

None

Reality

This question seems to imply I'm travelling backwards in time. The next thing I'm looking forward to I guess is my birthday.

What are you hearing right now?
The TV, the hum of my computers.

Plans for the weekend?
The rest of it? Watching a bit more TV and then sleeping.

What did you do today?
Woke up at 5am (which was really 4am, thanks to DST), went to work, worked, read some of The Fall of Hyperion, went home and to the grocery store on the way home, slept, went to my grandmother's house with my roommates, my dad, and stepmother, sat around and talked, came home, slept again, ate, hung out on the computer.
