Marvel's Runaways movie in the works!

I might have preferred a TV show, but a movie is also good, especially if Vaughan writes.

I'm surprised you didn't use your Runaways: the TV show icon. :-)

I'm glad they got BKV to write. He won't turn the movie into a stupid teen movie where everyone is making out or whatever. Casting should be interesting. They should take cues from your icon.

Well, I don't have my Runaways series icon in my icon list anymore and didn't feel like adding it in just for this. :)

And I have a feeling by the time it gets into production most of the people I chose would no longer be workable. The curse of trying to cast teen characters, the teen actor set turns over so fast.

But yes, very good news BKV is doing the writing. I suppose that's one of the benefits of Marvel doing most of its films in-house nowadays, rather than just selling the properties to other studios and letting them make movies out if it (this also makes it easier to do the whole expanded universe thing, so it's theoretically plausible that the Avengers show up at the end after the Pride is defeated, to tie the Runaways movie directly into the Movie-Marvel-Universe)
