newnumber6Watching the first episode of Jeremiah, airing locally here. Previously it had a couple years on a cable channel I don't het.
Seems to be a decent show at least, some hokeyness to it though, and I'm not sure it can hold my long-term interest.
However, what it has done is reawakening my longing to someday become a noble, post apocalyptic drifter. The post-apocalyptic part is negotiable, I _suppose_, but the noble part is essential. I want to be the wanderer who's not turned to savagery, who's refused to steal, and will help others who come across his path if he can.
I support it ties into the whole 'long walk' fantasy of mine, too, I guess. I dunno. I know, rationally, it wouldn't be fun or romantic or whatever, and would probably be full of pain and/or struggle as much as possible. And yet, it's a really strong appeal, somehow, that I can't shake.
