Ah... one of the classics. A good old fashioned 'I have a superpower and the government is chasing me' dream!
Okay, I don't remember the very beginning, but I do know that I was walking barefoot through a area full of rocks and such. The reason? I'd only teleported a few times and hadn't fully got the hang of it (only doing it when startled or something), and the last time it happened, my shoes didn't come with me. So, I was walking back to where I was when it happened, to go and pick them up.
As it turns out, someone must have seen me, because when I got there, there were a few Secret Government Agents. I decided my best move would be to play dumb, hoping they wouldn't believe I had powers (because after all, _nobody_ has supowerpowers except in comics).
They didn't buy it and kept pressuring me to admit it. I figured I could teleport away if things got hairy, but I didn't want to. And then someone came and injected me with a needle. They told me it'd inhibit my teleportation powers. This got me panicking, so I ran, climbing under some thick bushes and a fence behind them (which I was small enough to get through and under, but they weren't (I've usually had a talent for squeezing through tight spots. When I lived with my grandmother, once I forgot my key and couldn't get in, so I squeezed my way in through this 'milk door' thing that happened to be unlocked. Experimenting over the summer when I visited, I discovered I still could)
Anyway, they were slowed up but still chasing me, but I had the advantage of being in a populated area now, so I could hop fences, etc, and they wouldn't know exactly which street I'd taken.
Somehow (and how is a bit fuzzy) I made the acquaintence of 2 biologists, husband and wife who knew about the goverment project. Somehow (in a meta way) I was aware one of them would betray me to them but I didn't actually know that as me in the dream (it was sort of like hearing a narrator but because you'r enot supposed to know that, you don't pay any attention). Still, I managed to use one of them to help me get out of the city. I knew I had to do that without teleporting, or they'd chase me forever.
I transferred all my bank account money to some sort of univeral debit-card that works everywhere so they couldn't track me by money withdrawls (the money was 'on' the card, like a gift card, and anonymous)
Anyway, I was fine but on the run. I learned how to use my powers and managed to set myself up with a new life and place in Utah (why Utah? I dunno. Maybe I thought no government would want to follow me there). I think, using teleportation, I had a home that was somewhere else entirely and just used a small apartment.
In a flash-forward moment, it was a few years later, and the government did find me again. Same guy, in fact. They now felt they had proof, but the guy didn't want to scare me away. He told me there was a threat to the world and that they could really use my help, but if I say no he'll leave me alone and not tell anyone about me. So I agreed to listen, and that's about where I woke up.
Putting the sources together: I imagine the barefoot thing was from watching Die Hard on sunday night... walking on rocks and such was painful, like I imagine walking on glass was in the movie. ;). The teleportation power, most of the mechanics, and the idea of having a home one place and not really using it to come and go was probably mostly from the fun (and rereadable) novel Jumper by Stephen Gould, about a teenager, physically abused by his dad, who discovers one day that he (and apparently, he alone in the world) can teleport to anywhere he's been before.
I'm guessing the 'save the world' government agent was from Delta Green. No idea where the husband and wife biologists (with one of them, I have no idea which, betraying me) came from, but I do know that the wife looked like Nana Visitor (Kira from DS9).

Anyway, it was pretty good. I don't normally get a powers-dream, or dreams with one big mostly coherent story in them. Sure, there were incoherent bits, but as the whole it works. anyway, funfunfunfunfun. Oh, I also had an unrelated dream where I was married, apparently to Jennifer Garner, and she was very pregnant, and we were just having dinner together. No idea at all where _that_ came from.
