newnumber6This time, with Cthulhu-tastic flavour!
I was in a house with somebody else, and we were just chatting about nothing. Suddenly, we looked outside and saw this horrible mass of tentacles, trying to get in. So we decided to get out (quite calmly, actually.. I don't remember any fear at all in this dream, just a sort of 'well, we better go if we want to live'), but the only way that we really could was through the backyard. Anything leading to the street was blocked by the tentacle monster. So, we headed into the backyard, and decided to jump the fence into the neighbor's yard. And we started discussing whether this meant it was the end of the world, or whether the town we were visiting was really weird and we were to be some sort of sacrifice to the tentacle monster. Nobody else seemed to be outside or screaming or such, which suggested to us that they had an idea it was coming. As we continued hopping fences, the person I was with pointed out to the side and I didn't see any big tentacle monsters so I was confused, then I looked closer and there was a skull, and these little rat things crawling out of the eye sockets (it was some distance away though, so it wasn't icky so much as 'well, that isn't good'. The rat things headed in our direction and we tried to stomp on them but they were unbreakable... luckily, they were kickable. Still, we started to think that maybe it was attacking the whole town, or possibly the whole world.
Another dream I had (could possibly be the same dream, I dunno). I can't remember all the details, but I remember it included time travel... to the end of the universe. The final battle between good and evil. Apparently, all the good super-heroes were in one place (the only one I could remember specifically being there was Buffy), and all the horrible monsters (there were some Cthulhu-types) and evil villains were in another. Except, the heroes were in one building, and were hiding in the halls because there was a big glass window, where the bad side could see if they were looking in that direction. They were trying to make the building look empty. When _we_ arrived, we were in full view of this window and the heroes were trying to tell us to get to one of the sides.
But, the badguys saw us. Except, they didn't attack. Instead, for some reason I didn't understand, a deal had been reached. Time would be rewritten, super heroes and villains and monsters would be removed entirely from history - existing in stories, but nothing more. The battle between good and evil over the entire universe would be fought by normal people. As everything started to fade, I remember thinking that I, and every other hero was just going to wake up, and be normal at best, completely ficitonal at worst.
And then I did.
Damn, so that's why I don't have super powers! Stupid deals!
