Urge to kill rising...
Jul. 28th, 2005 01:46 pmOkay, officially in a bad mood today. Not a depressed mood, just bad.
As I mentioned yesterday, there was no work yesterday. I told them if the truck came in today, I'd come in and do it. So, not 10 minutes after I wake up, I get a call, saying it's coming today, and asking if I could come in. I said yeah, but it'd take at least half an hour. I was told "Okay, the truck's on its way, it should be here around 9, but that's okay" (it was about 10 to 9). So I rushed and got down there in, as I said, half an hour. No truck. Wait. Wait. Wait. About an hour later, I start to think that maybe when they told him the truck was on its way, they didn't mean on the way to _his_ store, but on their way on the route, of which this store is second or third. So wind up waiting about two hours before the truck gets there, wasting my whole morning-productive-time. Work itself was okay, but idiocies were annoying (someone who had to take some of the extra product out to another store decides to stack it in the doorway while I'm still unloading the new stuff, and then just waits around, not putting it in his van until after everything's done).
But I got a slice of pizza since the manager ordered a few and let people have some. Woo-frickin-hoo. One whole slice. That makes up for it. (Well, it remains to be seen whether I'll be paid any extra, they didn't mention anything one way or the other).
So, after it's all done, I decide to hit a nearby grocery store, see if there are any sales that are work picking up stuff, and see some sausages. Get them, decide to wait for the bus that's right near the store instead of taking the walk to my normal bus. Wait. Wait. Wait. Finally give up and head over to my normal bus, since I'm unsure of the schedule of the other one, although the way my luck's going I'm sure that it arrived only a few minutes after I started the trek to the other bus spot.
Bah. and Bah again.
