Okay, so this was sort of a Firefly dream, with a hint of the Matrix and other stuff.

I was alternatively watching and participating. When I was participating I was in the 'Mal' role. I can't remember exactly how it started, but we were on a planet and I think something got Inara seriously in trouble with the law, or one of those secret conspiracies beyond the law. So I was taking her to get physically changed so she wouldn't be recognized when we tried to leave. She had blond hair, cut short, and we were talking about changing her face with temporary surgery or something, when suddenly the guy we were talking to started twitching. Turns out, he was a clone, and there was a very, very rare thing that the government _could_ do, which was tap into all the clones senses in a given area and run a pattern recognition program to see if any of them were seeing the target in question. In this case, we knew that was Inara. The procedure made all the clones basically stand still and twitch, and I believe there was an alarm of some sort indicating a fugitive was being hunted.
Knowing this was us, Mal/I grabbed Inara and we started running, knowing that if we weren't in one place for a long period, for any one clone, there'd be a better chance of not being picked up. We ran past a whole bunch of the clones being 'tapped', and finally past a big plate glass window looking out on a street. We looked back and saw one of the clones howling in a characteristic 'I've seen them' howl, so in true action movie fashion, we jumped through the plate glass window together and landed on the street, running. Then, I somehow had a 'gravity belt', so I could make really impressive jumps that other people couldn't, so we leaped from building to building, trying to find a place to hide.
Finally, we found a hidden alcove or something and were surprised by a man. He claimed to be from the 'Underground'. He said it was vitally important that we climb up into a specific building, and then climb all the way down to ground level once inside the building, and we'd find some secret mystery that would change everything. We were sure it was a trap or something though so we didn't.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew was hanging out in a bar/restaurant, waiting for us. Suddenly, there was some reference to all the people on the planet being for the 'Kaylees', which we got the impression were some borg/hive like alien race that was kept secret from everybody (who didn't even believe aliens existed), but was really running the whole government. Kaylee herself was just sort of confused by the name, wondering if there was some connection to her (which I never found out in the dream). Anyway, soon after that there was an announcement on the billboard, flashing pictures that indicated that the rest of the crew (Zoey in particular) were wanted by the government. Except Simon and River, who were listed that they should be killed.
Wash complained that it was somehow Mal's fault that this was all happening. Zoey told Simon and River to 'run', so they could be safer, while they covered their backs and held off the crowd (who were sort of all converging on them for the reward).
There was another reference to the Kaylees, and then... well, I didn't wake up, but the 'series' ended. And I was just someone watching it in a big crowd of people, who were disappointed and confused. And I tried explaining that this must have been a new ending episode that Fox made by combining bits and pieces of other episodes, but on the DVD it was all complete as it should have been and was intended to be.
That's when I woke up.
