Mostly Dream Foo

newnumber6Haven't done this in a while, so there are a bunch over the last few days.
Okay, the big one was that I had a Russian Nesting Doll sort of lucid dream, full of false awakenings. I can't remember how it started, I think it was with a normal dream. I'll use one I had the same night as an example because I can't recall any others, although it might have been a different dream.
In that dream, I was in the tv show The Office. The US version. Jim and Dwight were talking about time travel, with Dwight inviting Jim on a trip through a 'time pool' he had. Jim was, of course, playing along, while Dwight rambled on. I came in, heard that they were talking about going back in time, and asked if I could come. Dwight was originally reluctant, but Jim somehow convinced him. So then I said something about "Cool, I've read a lot of books about how to change the future for the better." Dwight rolled his eyes angrily, thinking that I'd missed the whole point, but then I added, "It all started with forming a ruthless but efficient government in the past using modern knowledge." And he got an evil grin on his face. But of course we were all just messing with him anyway.
Anyway, after I woke up, I was worried about going to work and getting there on timne. But at some point I jumped and noticed that I floated instead of falling back to the ground. Which is one of my big 'dream signals'. I realized it was a dream. I started to wake up, and was late for work so I rushed out the door only to realize I was naked and far from either home or work. I hid somewhere (I think the ATM section of a closed bank) before realizing I was dreaming and willing some close on, and flying around a little. Then I woke up again. By this point, I was sort of half suspecting I was dreaming, and so I'd started jumping, and asking anyone nearby, "I'm floating, aren't I? I guess I'm still dreaming.".
I didn't really get to do much interesting besides floating and flying. I think I sort of walked through a wall (by pulling it apart rather than phasing), and at one point while I was talking to a dream character I noticed the cartoon Teen Titans walking by out of the corner of my eye. Since I usually have trouble summoning specific fictional characters, I tried to bring them into focus, though I only got Starfire really.
Anyway, this sort of thing went on for what felt like a really long time - me thinking I'd woken up, testing out by jumping, realizing I don't fall, then continuing on with a dream for a short time.
I guess I was only semi lucid, because each of the false wakeups (except maybe one or two) I was in some situation which was not like how I would have woken up, and I didn't really notice.).
Other than the big lucid dream, last night I had one I was back at grade school, like back when we had portables. Only the trouble was, there was something big going on, a test or something, and for some reason, I'd just completely blanked out on which class was mine. I kept looking for people I recognized from my class going into the portables, but I only saw people I didn't think were. Finally, I found some kind of teacher, and asked him, and had to explain that I "forgot" what class I was in, and suffer the fate of looking stupid from that. There was also some kind of 'faerie dress up day' going on (I suspect this was influenced by Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell which has a lot of faerie-folk stuff in it).
Hmmmm.. I thought I had more, but I guess I've forgotten them if so...
Also, LJ seems to be spazzing out. My normal style (flexible squares) keeps timing out when I try to load my flist. So I have to change to crappy Generator to read what's going on. *shakes fist at LJ*.
