1. Tell me something obvious about you.

I'm terribly shy

2. Tell me something about you that many don't know.

Hrm... I dunno, most things I assume everyone knows by now if I at all want them to know. I've even already used the 'when I'm alone and nobody can hear me (or in my head), I cuss like a sailor' in previous surveys.

Okay, it's a bit embarassing I suppose, but it's started playing here on TV again recently so I started watching it. I was a big fan of the show 'My So-Called Life', enough to be rewatching the reruns now, something like 10 years later.

3. What is your biggest fear?

Public speaking, or any kind of thing putting me on display and up for the public to criticize..

4. Do you normally go the safe route or take the short cut?

If you mean in walking somewhere, I usually go by the route I'm used to - that way I can pretty much go on autopilot. If you mean, when I'm doing something, yeah, I'll take shortcuts even if it might be more dangerous.

5. Name one thing you want that you can't buy with money.

Love, I guess. Real kinds, anyway (I'm sure you can buy various fake kinds)

6. What is your most treasured possession?

I'm really not too big on possessions. I'd guess my computer, because I use it every day, or my books.

7. What is the one thing you hate most about yourself that you do often?

Chicken out of some social interaction.

8. Tell me something sexually about you that I don't know.

9. Tell me something sexually about you that everyone knows.
No comment (I don't even know what everyone knows)

10. What is your favorite lie to tell?

"I'm immortal." Well, technically, it's not a lie, it's just something that I've not verified yet. I could be, after all.

Or, actually more common, "I'm not sure, but I think..." (prefacing some fact). A lot of the time when I say that, I'm 99% sure I'm correct. I hedge out of instinct (and there are times I'm genuinely not sure, or that I am certain but wrong).

11. Name something you've done once that you can't wait to do again.

Admin on a MU... oh, wait, that's something I've done once that I'll never do again...

Uhm... hrm...

Finish up a work of fiction to the extent that I send it off to try and sell it to a magazine or something (no, the first and only one so far wasn't accepted)

12. Are you the jealous type?
I haven't really had to have it tested but... I think I'd try my best to control it, but those instincts would always be there to some degree.

13. What is the one person, place or thing you can't say no to?

Potato chips.

14. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?

Talked to me when I was feeling down, I guess?

15. If you could do something crazy right now, what would it be?

Hmmmm... well, for literally crazy, I'd lapse into a full, non-stop hallucination that sends me into a catatonic state in the 'real world' (like that Buffy episode where she thought she was in an asylum all this time).

For figuratively crazy... probably my old desire to just chuck everything, pack as much as I think I need, and just start walking, heading for the other side of the country (with the intention, once I reach there, to walk somewhere else, and so on, for as long as I live). Although 'right now' isn't the best time for it as it's getting cold. Spring would be better.

But I can't.

16. When was the last time you cried?

Can't remember. Probably years and years ago. I get to a state where I feel like I should cry, like I want to cry, but I guess the ideal of guys not showing emotion has seeped into my subconscious, and tears never actually come.

17. When was the last time you felt so good that nothing else mattered?
Also can't remember. Possibly while unconscious.

18. Do you feel comfortable in public with no shirt on?

Nope. I'll almost never go without a shirt. Hell, I'll almost never wear shorts, too, even in summer.

19. Name something embarrassing you did while being drunk.

When I was, like, 12 or something I drank champagne out of other people's glasses at a family wedding. I later wound up dancing with relatives. So, I decided, never again, and now I just don't drink.

20. If you post this in your journal would you like me to answer it?

Sure, why not?

What's so bad about dancing with relatives? You probably had fun and that scared you a little, you should drink and dance more often ;)

Nah, dancing with relatives is embarassing! You've never seen my relatives dance!

It's not really the reason I don't drink, although it is (to my knowledge) the last time I actually drank any alcohol (that wasn't, say, in a chocolate cooked into something or whatever) and the most embarassing thing I've done while drunk, so it fits the category.
