Nov. 17th, 2004 04:27 pmThis week I got:
Birds of Prey #76 (fairly good, though rushes a bit)
Cable & Deadpool #9 (Surprisingly good, actually, and my Pick of the Week)
Ex Machina #6 (fairly good)
Madrox #3 (continues to be a fun miniseries)
Robin #132 (disappointing, and don't like the art.. still sore about Spoiler)
Spider-Man: India #1 (Spider-Man if he was created in India... story familiar, but kind of interesting with the Indian culture stuff)
Teen Titans #18 (better than the last one)
Ultimate X-Men #53 (great fun as always..)
Witchblade #80 (I got it free, but it didn't hook me at all)
X-Men #164 (Yay, no more Austen after this!)
Full reviews, of course, at The Unreachable Star.
Oh, also on the forums, I posted a review of Swan Songs: The Complete Hooded Swan Collection, by Brian Stableford, here.
I also had a gyro for lunch.

Bill Willingham's comic.
Fairy tales, sort of, but better, and of course, for the older audience.

Date: 2004-12-06 10:18 pm (UTC)Nice to hear from you though, even if it's a random drive-by thing. :) Took a quick glance at your own journal (hope you don't mind). See you're also a fan of some of the same SF... nice to see the 'Enemy's gate is down' quote on someone else. ;) And of course that you're a fan of the old west. Out of curiosity, ever read the Dark Tower series, by Stephen King? I just started it now. It's sort of a sci-fi/fantasy by way of the Old West. And the only place outside of Firefly that I've heard the word 'palaver'. ;)

I've tried the Dark Tower and may have to go back again. Weird reading for a 13-year-old, which was when I first tried to read it.
