Jan. 13th, 2005 12:26 pmToday I went to campus again to sell a textbook of mine person-to-person. Was the sort of thing where I posted it on a website and waited for someone interested in buying it, and they contacted me day before yesterday. So, we met, and I knocked $5 off my asking price because I realized I have overpriced it (I think a flat 50% of the new price of the book is a fair deal - I'd overpriced it by about $10 - only knocked off $5 because I took busfare getting there and back). Felt nice, giving a bit of an unexpected surprise.
When I got home I went to the site to update the listing, so that book was sold (and put up another book in its place)... to find out that the site had changed, and now you'll have to pay to put books up. Luckily, they're being a little reasonable - old postings are still up for free, and old users have 3 free postings they can use anytime this year, so I still posted my book. Still, it's disheartening - this is why I'm not mentioning the site's name. I've already got spam off of them, that's enough payment.
In other news... ha-ha, I know 5 of the 6 people in Excelsior in Runaways season two! ;)
