newnumber6: Ghostly being (Default)

So, I knew it was here, but I didn't really admit it to myself until today. The New Year depression has set in. Always happens shortly after New Year. I was kind of hoping not having to go back to school would temper it somewhat.

It's all I can do to be motivated enough to do my exercises 3 times a week (used to do it 4 or more... managed to do it today anyway, which was good), and there's a e-mail from Gail Simone in my in-box that came in yesterday, with her answers to my interview questions that I just haven't even read yet and am having trouble forcing myself to... that's what really tipped me off. Normally I'd be excited, but, bleh, it's like my subconscious mind just keeps whispering to me 'what's the point?'.

Ah well. It's only about two more months till my birthday, that's when these depressions usually break. In the meantime, I'll just have to try and pull myself through to do stuff day by day.

Edit: Oh, and a new clue to the last outstanding quote on the movie quote meme:

2. "What's the military industrial complex? Have you ever been there? I'm tellin' you, it's not that complex." - Cube, [livejournal.com profile] fiddlersgreen

Clue 1: This was a horror film made in Canada. It had a sequel, which literally added another dimension to the whole situation.

Clue 2: There was no explicit monster in this movie, it was more of a science/psychological/situational horror.

And the set was basically one room (although it looks like there was more, only one was actually built and they just repeated it in different scenes, sometimes with different colors).

Yeah, I'm not too big on the grossiness either, but the whole situation of the thing intrigued me, and that line just stuck with me.
