newnumber6Finally got my Birthday present from my brother. It was a little late, but there was a money issue earlier, and hey, I don't really mind. Got Song of Susannah, by Stephen King
, Book 6 of the Dark Tower Series. It just came out in the oversized Trade Paperback format last week, so it was decent timing anyway.
What else is new? Not a whole lot. My right eye is being weird again. Pulsing. It doesn't affect my vision, but it feels as though there's a pulse, with a racing heart, right under the skin of my eye every once in a while (though my heart is normal). It's a bit distracting and annoying.
Kind of in a weird place, too. Ever get the feeling that your life is a dream, and any moment you're going to wake up and be in the _real_ reality? That's sort of how I've been feeling these last couple days. Or my mind will sort of drift off and I'll suddenly remember that I'm myself, as opposed to being someone else. I don't remember who the 'somebody else' is - it's not like a fantasy where I imagine being some adventerer and then come back to myself... it's like I even have any independent identity at all for a few seconds, and then suddenly just remember that I'm actually me, and I'm a little surprised and disappointed. Ehh.

Date: 2005-04-30 12:16 pm (UTC)Its not normally what I like to read, and my only exposure to it was having the first book read to me last year or so...but I find myself really really enjoying it.
7th book comes out in paperback in November though, so I'm going to have to read slower. Unlike most of you people, I can't wait like...6 years for another book to come out. :)
