Bah. And Bah some more.

newnumber6So, for those who don't know, today is Greek Easter. Well, Orthodox Easter, but all the other orthodoxes don't matter, it's Greek Easter. ;).
Now, I'm not a religious fellow, but I love Greek Easter. It far surpasses your pale, regular, human Easter. For our Greek Easter stuff, there's usually a big lamb roast over a spit for hours in the backyard of one of our relatives. There's egg-smashing games, and lots of other little assorted greek foods like sausages and souvlaki and such. It's a great holiday.
But not for us, not this year. Nothing went on for us this year, and that's the second year in the row now. I'm sure in the next week or so we'll get some of the easter eggs or some of my Baba's easter bread if she made any, but no big family get together with all the other stuff. Or at least, none that we went to. See, apparently there _was_ something going on with at one of my aunts, but for whatever reason we didn't wind up showing - either my Dad was never officially invited and so didn't feel right about showing up and dragging us in, or there was some other miscommunication and timing issue (there's no big family feud issue going on, at least none involving us, that I'm aware of), I dunno the exact details. All I know is, again, no roast lamb. :P Bah, I say. and Bah some more. I was really looking forward to some. Oh well, maybe next year.
