Test, book foo, and random musings

Began: An Alien Light, by Nancy Kress
Also, had a test today, programming language fundamentals. Think I did rather well, and finished 15 minutes early. Sadly could not pick up a power supply from the university's local computer store like I hoped, but I hope to try one of the surplus places over the weekend if I have time (though I have another test Sunday too. And that's a hard one. Bleh.).
Before the test, I showed up early and wandered around the buiilding.. the building in which the test was to be held was very new, it's not even completely finished yet, but some classes are being held in the more finished sections of it. Still, for a while, till others showed up, there was almost no one around, and it was all new and shiny and clean, and I imagined my self, some wandering survivor of an apocalypse, coming across an abandoned, but still powered and maintained, secret underground facility, and exploring it with my post-apocalyptic wonder at lights and weird technogizmos. Was fun, and killed time before the test.
