New Comic Day + Work
Nov. 2nd, 2005 03:21 pmJust two books this week:
House of M #8 (good overall issue)
Outsiders #30 (rather fun, actually, cause the old comic code could never approve it).
I also purchased this week, but haven't yet read, Y: The Last Man Vol 3: One Small Step
Full reviews, as usual, for anyone interested, as well as a look at House of M as a whole and my reaction to the consequences, are up at my comic review site.
Also picked up Brothers in Arms by Lois McMaster Bujold from the used bookstore. It's not a Hugo/Nebula Winner but I already have Mirror Dance, which is, and I've heard Mirror Dance follows up on plot threads introduced in BiA, so I bought that before reading MD. Clear? Good. :)
For lunch I had a salami sandwich, charity subway pizza, and then a few surprise slices of work pizza (not produced at work, but bought by the manager for everyone on shift) which was pretty good.

Date: 2005-11-02 01:38 pm (UTC)As for why I post what I eat? Well, when I started doing the comic thing, Wednesday was also Gyroday, and Gyros do not go without comment. That would anger the gyro gods. While I've had to cut myself back from gyros, but I'm just a sucker for tradition sometimes, and tradition said on comic day I mention what I eat. Especially since it's usually the only day of the week that I eat out rather than making something at home (although I'm slowly cutting down on that too).
