newnumber6: Ghostly being (Default)

This week I got:

Birds of Prey #88 (good job in making all 3 plotlines interesting)
Runaways #10 (My pick of the week even though I thought it was a little weaker than usual)
X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1 (it's okay. We'll have to see where it goes).

Full reviews as usual are up at my comic review site

I skipped Mutopia X #5. A flipthrough in the store convinced me I'd be happier saving the money.

Work was blehish, about twice as heavy as the usual wednesday delivery, and still no word on when the Friday deliveries are coming. But ah well.

EDIT: Oh, and minor update on my last WIDW

I had occasion to think a little more about X-Men: The Lost, the proposed title with Bishop, Rachel Grey, Cable, Nocturne, and other characters who are temporarly or dimensionally displaced.

The one thing I was lacking was a 'hook' for _where_ they were - if they were travelling, it'd be too much like Exiles. If they were in just a particular alternate world, it could be too much like Mutant X.

So, I got to thinking... what kind of world would be interesting to throw an assorted bunch of mutants into?

...why, a world that has never had superhumans before. Our world, more or less. Cable could attempt to become a Messiah, and have some success. Black Beast (since he would fall into the category of dimensionally displaced, and would be moved along with the other characters) could attempt to create an army of mutates. Could be cool. Just a random silly thought.
