Finished: An Alien Light, by Nancy Kress. Not bad, overall enjoyable... a couple of sci-fi-ish cliches, but a number of the characters didn't quite end up as I expected them too, which is nice.
Began: The Dead Zone, by Stephen King. I've had the book for a while, but ever since I've started really getting into the TV series I felt the urge to start reading the book and see how it compares. Stephen King is, as usual (for me), quite readable, although I'm aware of a number of changes from the book to the series. However, the changes I've noted so far don't bother me.. they're things which would make things more interesting in the series. Never seen the Dead Zone movie so don't quite know if some of them originated there and just carried through or not though.
