Gyros do not go without comment.
Nov. 29th, 2005 12:53 pmAs part of my second step of 'celebrating getting a new day of work each week', I did the 'treat myself' aspect. So, today I ran out (in the rain no less) and got a gyro and some onion rings.
I used to do this every week, on comic day, but I've had to cut down since funds are decreasing... I'm still not in a position that I can justify doing it weekly, but as a treat, sure.
The gyro itself was awesome, of course. That pretty much goes without saying.
Now, it's been quite a while since I actually had the onion rings as well as a gyro. Oh my god it was almost orgasmic. I enjoy onion rings normally, but there's something about the combination with gyros that increases Onion Ring power by 500%. At least, for me, it does. I always eat the gyro first (in part because the gyro gets messier the longer you leave it), and something in the gyro must prime up my taste buds for onion and batter and grease and salt. I'd go so far as to say the onion rings were better than the gyro (however, the gyro is still the best food ever because, without the gyro, the onion rings would be nowhere near today's glory).
Sadly, now I'm on to stage 3 - continue to live as though the extra income was not a factor. No more random spoiling myself. Or at least, no more than usual, and blaming it on the extra income.
Oh, and in other news, paid user time expired yesterday, so down to 3 icons again. Was fun while it lasted, but I don't think I can justify buying more paid time right now.
