Today I had a banana for a snack after lunch. I don't eat bananas too often. Once in a while I get a craving. Anyway, the point of it is that this is the first time since I read this article on BoingBoing that I've had to peel a banana. So, thinking of it, I tried it the monkey's way, pinching the 'end' and then peeling it from there, using the stem to help hold it. OMG it's so much easier.
Random question: Why are sails usually white? Is it just because the best material to make them is usually white? Is there tradition associated to the color? Is there a functional reason? Am I completely wrong about them being usually white in the first place?

20 questions from Joss Whedon
Nov. 14th, 2005 11:13 amI'm a sucker for surveys, as you probably know, both filling them out and reading what people on my friends list answer. Whedon apparently does the occasional '20 questions' of people in his e-mail addressbook, and these were ones he allegedly recently asked (I'm not lucky enough to be in his addressbook so don't ask me, I'm taking it on faith here ;)).

How did you die in your past life? (for everyone)
brought to you by Quizilla
Actually I've always told people my previous life I was 65 years old and died in 1967, was a grandmother and had a child who died in war. I probably made it up, but you never know, maybe my past life was coming to me in my subconscious and make me thing that way!
