More randomness
Jul. 30th, 2006 12:13 amSo, remember that nostalgic random post where I mentioned googling some high school classmates? Apparently one of the people I found read it. He IMed me a couple days back. We're planning to get together for lunch sometime next week. (He may even be reading this. If so, hi). Weird, though. I really never expected anything like that to happen. Really, even though I constantly write as though I've got some kind of audience, internally I don't believe that anybody outside of my flist would read this - and I even doubt most of my flist does, most of the time.
I saw this on someone else's LJ: Cool prank - give the site someone's phone number. It then creates a custom link. Give that person (the one whose phone number you entered) the link, tell them to watch the video. They see the spooky video from The Ring. As soon as the site detects that the video has been watched, it _PHONES THEM_ (with the return number 000-000-0000), and plays a message of your choice (the default of course is the classic 'You will die in 7 days'). And as far as I can tell, it's free. I'd try it but I don't have the phone number of anyone who'd appreciate it, but I'm sure there are some evil-minded pranksters on my flist who might want to try it. If you do, be sure to post on it! ;)
On a message board a couple people were discussing Buffy/Angel, specifically Angel and Spike and, if there was an ending, which of them should recieve Shanshu. I liked what I wrote about it so I'm going to paste it here behind a cut because if I ever want to refer back to it, it's easier for me to find things on my own journal than on a message board with hundreds of thousands of topics:

I've been going through another of my nostalgic 'read through the New Universe' phase again.
Oh, and Stargate SG1/Atlantis episode 3 of the newest season.

Been having a lot of weird dreams lately, but unfortunately I can't remember enough to write anything substantive. I remember one I was going to a bookstore where Brian K. Vaughan was signing, and I tried to talk to him but he had to go. At least a couple more school related dreams.
Name meme! ( Read more... )
