New Comic Day
Dec. 6th, 2006 08:08 pmThis week I just got 1 book:
newuniversal #1 (As a fan of the original NU I was a bit disappointed at some of the changes, but it's not bad and I'll stick with it)
Full reviews up as usual at my comic reviews site for anyone interested.
Also had a run at the used bookstore. Picked up the following:
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling
A Fire In The Sun by George Alec Effinger (sequel to When Gravity Fails)
and
Cell by Stephen King
Cell just came out in paperback in the past month and I found it in a used bookstore for half price so go me. Same thing happened with Olympos. Woohoo.
Work was bah, today. Heavier load and new driver so it was a little late (though not too much).
Also skipped lunch, but had souvlaki for dinner. Mmmmm, souvlaki.
Anyway, despite being tired from work, wwalked the full circuit today. Though this time I might have took the bus home, despite my natural inclination to avoid the cost and get some extra exercise, due to tiredness, except when I did my usual routine of walking until the bus caught up with me... it didn't. So I got to the end of the street and onto another (Where buses are more frequent but by that point I can't in good conscience take another bus for so short a journey).
Anyway, while walking I thought about various things, some writing stuff (despite officially being 'on break' from writing), but mostly I just had some of The Songs of XET stuck in my head, because of something someone mentioned yesterday that got me thinking about one of them which led to others. Ah well, twas fun to revisit anyway. Anyway, tired now.
