Apparently I have had my head in some sort of cave the last couple days, because I missed saying the following:

foxfyre!!!!!!!!! It's a few days belated (August 4, my apologies), but I hope you had a good one nonetheless!
In other news, this weekend is the Taste of the Danforth. Last year, after spending more than one hour (and that's not an exaggeration) in line for 1 GYRO, I decided I would from then on honor the spirit, and instead of actually going down to the Danforth and braving the crowds, I would just stop by one of the several greekish restaurants on my own street (Danforth-intersecting), and get a Gyro there.
The plan was good. No wait time. However, there was one unforseen flaw... although I've been to that place before, evidently since the last time they made a change. They only had chicken gyros. No pork, which is my preference (but lamb or even beef is good enough). However my social embarrassment would have prevented me from just walking out, so I had to order the inferior chicken gyro which barely even counts. Now, I'm being a little needlessly persnickety... like previously when I've ranted about lettuce on gyros (it's not an approved Gyros topping), it's still delicious. However, it left me unsatisfied with fulfilling my deep gyro need. I will have to abandon that place from now on when I choose to Gyro. I saw another place on the way back (closer, even), that I will try... I'll probably have to have it in the next few weeks, in fact, just because I was left so unfulfilled. I have no other news at present.
