Well, in this particular game I'm talking about we had just gotten around to introducing Ultron anyway, so he could, eventually, almost go as is, a back-up plan that happened to not quite work out... although his father probably wouldn't have been 'well known' in any sense of the word, and the Runaways wouldn't have gotten a time travelled message from the future to go recruit him... although I suppose it's possible if, instead of just destroying all the heroes, Victor was partially responsible for ushering The End Times there could be some last ditch message from Gert to warn them about him. Unfortunately, with the dark tone of the mythos, Victor's fate actually _would_ be pretty well set in stone, even if he's all nice and such now, he won't be able to resist his programming.
