New Comic Day + Work Foo + Other Stuff

Astonishing X-Men #15 (my pick of the week, nothing novel but done well)
Birds of Prey #95 (enjoyable)
Robin #151 (my last issue of Robin)
New Excalibur #8 (stock Claremont plot, not bad but not terribly memorable either)
Ultimates 2 #11 (good book but the time between issues really hurts)
Full reviews as usual at my comic reviews site.
Made one Astonishing X-Men icon from the preview pages, behind the cut (may make others when scans get posted)
Also at the used bookstore I found a copy of The Year's Best SF 10 (short story collection) for $1 so I picked it up.
For lunch I had a hot corned beef sandwich with mustard.
Work was okay, late again and looks like that's the way it's going to be from now on.
Social Interaction Report:
Firstly and most specifically at work 'girl-I-used-to-talk-to-Sunday-mornings' showed up early for her shift and the truck still hadn't arrived yet so we chatted a bit, fairly pleasantly even if as usual I wasn't able to initiate much in the way of conversational lines. Still, pleasant enough so call it a win.
Secondly as I was picking up some groceries on the way home ran into my step-sister-in-law and her kids. Mainly just a 'hey, how's it going, just picking up a few things' type of conversation, with a tiny bit more with my stepniece (since we were later at different checkouts at the same time she wandered up to me to show off her Batman: The Animated Series pogs. Remember Batman: The Animated Series? It's back, in Pog Form!)
Finally, while waiting for the bus home, a cranky elderly lady engaged me in conversation. I say cranky because she was complaining about the bus being late and told me how once when the bus was late she complained to the driver and he sort of laughed it off and she told him one of these days someone'll report him and then he'll be laughing out the other end. I mostly just sort of smiled and nodded until the bus came.
