This week I just got one book:
Astonishing X-Men #19 (not bad, but a little slower and therefore weaker than usual)

I also picked up a copy of Invincible Vol 1: Family Matters, though.

Full reviews (of the comic, not the TPB) up as usual at my comic reviews site for anyone interested.

The Invincible was one of the Boxing Week stuff I bought to treat myself. The other is that I finally picked up a DVD boxed set of Angel S1. I intend to slowly start collecting the TV shows I love on DVD. But it'll be very slowly until I win the lottery or get a real job. (I have one more thing on my list I might buy, a book, but only if I can find it cheap and considering I'm not going out again until Boxing Week is over, that's unlikely. But maybe the bookstore will have an extended sale - their Boxing Week sales suck in general anyway).

In other news, my eyes have been a little funky lately. And by eyes, I mean 'eye' of course. And by 'eye' I mean 'eye and mind', since i'm not entirely sure it's my eye. It's probably a little of both. The problem is one of reorienting. Normally I can look back and forth between different things with no trouble, but once in a while it takes me a while to refocus when my eyes move back and forth - this gives me trouble, when I'm say, reading and walking, or looking for things in stores (since I'm scanning and moving quickly). Meh. Hopefully it's just weather related or something and it'll get better. It's happened before and gets better again.

Oh, I watched X3, probably put more of it on another post. In short: It was okay, not as bad as others have said, but it still could (should) have been so much better.

I still think it's a tragedy that they didn't realize the magical properties of Wolverine's pants. If they had only known, they could have just wrapped Phoenix in them and they wouldn't have had to kill her. :D

(You may not have noticed, being male... there at the end, she was disintegrating everything, including most of Logan's clothes and his very skin and muscle, everything BUT his pants which were apparently immune to her powers! Much to the dismay of many a fangirl. *g*)

Can't wait to hear what else you have to say about the movie!

Ha, I never noticed Wolverine's magical pants. They must have been made of adamantium or something. Actually, with respect to Phoenix, I wondered why they didn't just throw Leech at her. Not literally, cause that would be mean, but get him close to her so she could be safely contained long enough to (perhaps) cure.
