Probaly not of interest to most people, but it was pretty cool to me, so it gets recorded for my own memory later. Inside, vampires and superheroes (and supervillains) and giant monkeys! (Some of the above may be combined). + Lucidity, and a lucid dream rejoined after an interruption!

Okay, first up is a dream where we were in some sort of big apartment building, except it was run by vampires. The people inside were kept as sort of a farm/bloodbank. They were alive and well cared for generally, but they weren't allowed to leave, because they were to be used for food. The specifics are sort of fading because it was an earlier dream and I had other dreams since, but as I recall, one of us humans tried to escape, but was brought back. But then somehow I got out of the room on the main floor, and though nobody saw me, an alarm went up. I knew that what would happen is that vampires from the lower floors would start to rush up to find me. But I managed to find a staircase nobody would be coming up (I think the dream-logic of it was that it was right through dangerous area for anyone trying to escape so nobody thought I would, but since everybody was covering the safer areas, it became safe for that time), and ran all the way down.

Once there, I think I burnt the place down. Despite the fact that there were nonvampires inside. Which was a tiny bit disturbing and not something I'd actually do in that situation I think (not that it's likely to come up, but besides the risk I'd probably be troubled by the moral implications of killing vampires, who, despite being 'monsters' are still sentient beings). I think my dream-logic was that because vampires die almost instantly after being set on fire (see Buffy at various times), there'd be more chance for the humans to escape if the building was on fire. I dunno.

Anyway, I woke up. Then, next up, I had a lucid dream. I was outdoors when lucid, and I don't know why, but I hit on an idea I've never tried before (probably because when I become lucid I know my time was short and had to have fun while I could)... instead of doing something superpowerish, I altered the dream world so that anybody could have super powers. So there were people running past at super speed, giant people, people shooting lasers, etc. I of course could do whatever I was able to do in the lucid dream state. I tried teleportation but didn't manage it the first few times, but I was able to fly and then 'stop time'. Well, I couldn't entirely stop it, but I could slow it dramatically and wander around, which was cool.

And then I woke up. Or at least, I dreamed I did. I'm pretty sure there was at least some of a 'false awakening' there, although there may have been a real awakening of a few seconds in between falling back to sleep and in another dream. Anyway, in the false awakening, I was on March Break somehow, despite having been out of school for a couple years. Also, someone mentioned something big happening to Victor in the next issue of Runaways. Something Ultron related (I have a vague memory of an animated Victor with an Ultron head, but I don't know if that's from the dream or from something else). Anyway, I decided 'hey, you know what, since I'm on March break, I don't actually need to do anything, so I'm going to go back to sleep and see if I can get back into superhero world.

And I did, within seconds of lying down again. Now that there were people out, I decided that I needed some kind of crime to fight. So I willed a bank robbery to happen. As I was walking down the street, I saw a giant monkey (well, ape, but that's not as fun to say) breaking into a bank. Physically, even though he was like 20 feet tall (his size changed at various points in the dream). It actually didn't look like a _real_ ape. It looked like a guy in an ape costume. But it was giant. So I assumed it was a shapeshifter who didn't quite know what a real ape looked like and so improvised. Anyway, I yelled, "Hey, monkey, I've got a banana for you" (okay, so my superhero banter needs a lot of work). Then I flew over, and picked him up by the heel (yay, superstrength), and spun around really fast to gain momentum, and then threw him off into a mountainous area. As I was walking away, I saw that this didn't disable the monkey. He got up and picked up a big boulder. But instead of throwing it at me like I expected, he threw it near me, but at some houses. The first one though just bumped up against the wall and didn't really damage it. The second one I tried to stop telekinetically, but it didn't work and it actually broke through a wall of a house, but nobody was hurt. Finally, he threw a third one, and I flew over to try and stop it but I wasn't able to get there in time, so I slowed down time for the flying rock and it held suspended in air. At this point, a blue DRAGON came out of the house and started blowing fire at the giant ape. (Since, in this dream world, lots of people had super powers, I guess this was a citizen who just happened to be a blue dragon and was angry at some ape trying to destroy his house). I dealt with the rock while he kept big ape occupied, and then I did... something. I'm not sure exactly what. I think I shrunk the ape and put him into some sort of suspended animation state under the ground. The continuity was a little jarred there, because I was starting to wake up.

I know it's extremely silly and immature, and probably a little sad, but while I was a superhero fighting that giant ape, all while more-or-less lucid (that is, aware of the dream, feeling like myself, and able to make plans that felt like the plans I'd make if I was waking and actually had powers), I remember an overwhelming feeling of 'Oh, yes, _this_ is how my life was made to be.' and feeling more satisfied in being a superhero than in any thing I could think of doing in my life.

Man, comics have really screwed me up. :)
