Normally I get my Who news from my flist, who seem to be pretty up on things. So why hadn't I heard until now that the Sontarans are confirmed for S4?

They're not my favorite of the classic Who races, but I do have a soft spot for the potatoheads. I'd rather have the Ice Warriors, but the Sontarans are a nice consolation prize. Still, you failed me flist! ;) This news is almost a week old and I hadn't heard it!


Maybe I just missed when somebody posted about it when I was reading after just waking up and still half asleep.

I haven't been really following any of my DW comms lately. :/ And NOBODY on my List who does has posted about it, either. I really wish they'd bring back the Cybermen. The Cybermen from OUR world, not that alternate Earth crap.

Yeah, that would be nice. I do remember hearing a rumor in the last month that this dimension's Cybermen _would_ be back... but unfortunately most Who rumors turn out to be crap some tabloid made up.

Hmm, well, apart from Christopher Ryan and the Sontarans, let's try and remember what I know for sure...

Donna's the new companion, Martha's popping up in Torchwood, but she'll also be in the latter half of series 4.

They're filming in Rome for an episode that's set in Pompeii in AD 79, on the eve of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius with Peter Capaldi and Phil Daniels guest starring.

There's talk of Ben Kingsley as Davros, but that's unconfirmed.

The Slitheen popped up in Sarah Jane Adventures and the Sontarans were mentioned there too.

There's gonna be a year's break after series four with three special eps and then series five following a year after.

There's a 1920s period episode, and a visit to the planet of the Ood. There's also an episode where they meet Agatha Christie.

Tim McInnery from Blackadder guest stars in one ep.

That's pretty much the only stuff I know of that's not just rumor.
