This week I got three books:
New Warriors #5 (okay, but still wish I got a better sense of the title characters)
Runaways #28 (Zombie variant cover) (my Pick of the Week, some cool developments here)
X-Factor #24 (a bit of a disappointing end, but still has some good points)

My comic book store was also delayed by Thanksgiving so I wasn't able to look through the covers. There's a zombie one for Runaways? Wow, Marvel is really running the whole zombie thing into the ground (no pun intended). Is the cover cool? I can't find a picture of it on-line.

I'm continually impressed by Chase. He may seem dumb but he's a very perceptive guy.

And yeah, they are pushing zombies heavily, but I don't mind it... in this case it's mostly a halloween thing. They normally stick to the Marvel Zombie comies (and a few other ones that cross over into that universe temporarily) because they're popular, but for October since it's Halloween month, they decided to make certain Marvel books get zombie varient covers. And although I love Jo Chen's cover work, this month's didn't do much for me in that respect and I loved the zombie one.

Chase is certainy smarter than he seems - I think it's partly underplaying his own intelligence and partly that he's not book smart, but very perceptive in some ways and good at putting things together on the fly.

Right, Halloween. I completely forgot. Okay, all the zombie covers make sense now.

And this is way better. :-D Dead characters get their revenge! I assume that's Chase's torso in the corner there. Cute how Alex is eating Victor, the guy currently with Nico.

Actually, I think Alex is eating Chase - on his hands are the Fistigons (which he had in S1... of course, that doesn't make sense with the rest of the cast, but then neither does Alex and Gertrude being flesh-eating zombies, so...), while Victor never really had obviously metal parts.

I'd assume therefore that the torso is Victor, since everyone else has been accounted for in the image.
