Cause nothing was interesting this week. Work was okay, though was feeling a bit dizzy.

Anyway, Veronica Mars Season 3 DVD's been released, and for those who haven't got it yet, and still want to see the "Season 4 Veronica in the FBI Pilot", here (part 2). Kind of cool to see, and some moments rocked, but I still felt it was a missing something, but presumably it would have been better if they had more time to prepare it. I still would have loved to see it.

In other news, Supernatural was fun last night. And Pushing Daisies tonight (which I saw yesterday) was also fun. Charlie from Heroes was a guest star!
Heroes this week was okay, though perhaps focusing on too many plotlines. PB was decent. Didn't care for the last 2 Atlantises too much. And, well, that's about all of note.

Edit: And a new trailer for The Mist, one of my favorite King short stories/novella. And here's more trailers for Will Smith's adaptation of I Am Legend.

Neat, I didn't realize the pilot was on-line. I need to use YouTube more often. :-D

Hmm, well, it has potential. Veronica's still solving crimes but legally and with a gun. Looks like they would have had a whole new cast, sadly. Though, they're in L.A. so Veronica could easily visit Keith if need be. And look! The FBI agent working with Veronica is the guy who played Parker on Buffy. :-) Wonder if there were plans to develop a relationship between them if the season got picked up?

And a random question, but how old do you think Veronica is supposed to be? I assume you have to finish university before entering the FBI academy, but how many years of training is it at the academy? 2? So we've missed, like, what? Six years out of Veronica's life. I wonder if they would have filled those in with flashbacks. Oh well, Kristen Bell's got Heroes now. :-) And she finally showed up! Yay!

Did you hear that Atlantis got picked up for another season?

I hadn't heard about Atlantis until you mentioned it, no. That's excellent news. I was a little worried they might not want to keep going.

I think Parker from Buffy was also on VM before, too, as one of her classmates in high school. The one who fell in with a nice cult, I think? Could be wrong. And yeah, it would have needed a whole new regular cast, but I figure there were ways they could have worked in the older cast. Keith could easily do semi-regular guest roles (and particularly when they had crime in Neptune if they just made him sherrif again, he could be their liason). Mac or Wallace could show up now and then as 'friends', but probably wouldn't be regulars (I could see Mac having a more significant role if Veronica had to investigate some kind of corruption within the FBI itself, and she needed someone who could do research off the books). And you know at some point Logan would be suspected of a major crime, because, well, that's just how things are done. ;)

I'd imagine by this point Veronica would have to be in her mid 20s. I think FBI training is only a 17 week program, at least according to what I've very quickly researched (and so I could have missed something), and you only need a Masters degree in university to qualify. Without any pesky major murders or rape sprees to investigate, she probably could graduate university a year or two early, too.

Still, I think she'd be closer to her actresses real age if they did the show.

OMG, thank you for linking the Veronica Mars! I really loved them and they made me so happy and sad at the same time. ::wibble::

And dear god, boy, you like some freaky stories/movies! (But I fully admit that I am a scardy cat.)

Yeah, it's a shame we never got to see Veronica Mars: FBI as a full series. It's kind of rare to get a show that changes so much from when it started and is still enjoyable. I don't know for sure if they would have succeeded, but I really wished they had a chance to try.

As to freaky stories/movies... heh, guilty, I suppose. Although for me the interest is more in either the supernatural element or how the characters react to the situation. I rarely actually get scared by the movies. (Which isn't to say that I don't have fear, I'm a total coward, but movies/tv/books just doesn't seem to trigger it. :))

Yeah, I'm liking the look of The Mist movie. It's looking like it's going to lean hard on the psychological aspects of that story (In Kings own words, there are monsters on both sides of the store window), but also take advantage of CGI to throw in the nice horrible visuals.

Also, I think I know what they were looking at at the end of that trailer, and I absolutely want to see that scene.

Yeah, so far most of what I've seen in the trailer matches the book pretty well, so I'm optimistic. (I think the only major change is where the soldiers explain what was going on at the military base, but since in the story it was all just wild speculation I can sort of understand the desire to let the audience hang their hat on something). And yeah, I have a hunch about what they're seeing too.
