NaNo Day 7: New Comic Day

So I don't actually write on Wednesdays since that's my work/comic day.

This week I got two books:

Astonishing X-Men #23 (My pick of the week, some good moments here)
Mystic Arcana: Sister Grimm (a bit disappointing really)

Full reviews up as usual at my comic reviews site for anyone interested.

Work was okay, a bit tiring but earlier than usual, so that's nice.

Had a Battle Royale dream the other night. Can't remember much about it except I accidentally shot someone who I thought was going to shoot me, and most of us were indoors hiding from each other. The guy who plays Sark@Alias/Kensai@Heroes was also there, hiding. We saw each other and sort of nodded and went back to hiding.

And apparently I completely fail at using can openers that don't have moving parts or a turnable handle.

I found with Astonishing X-Men that Joss already did the "second telepathic secret conversation" on Buffy. I didn't suspect that was the case last issue, so it does require a reread, but if you're a fan of his, you've seen the ploy before and it doesn't seem as clever. But Kitty's "I object!" and everyone commenting on her bad acting was funny.

I didn't realize we had one more issue to go. There's going to be a Giant Astonishing X-Men to top it all off? I thought I heard that.
