New Comic Day
May. 28th, 2008 07:35 pmHa ha to those in the US, ours aren't delayed a day.
This week I got two books:
Giant Sized Astonishing X-Men #1 (Oh Joss, you are so... not good at science)
New Warriors #12 (the book's on a death watch, but I still enjoyed the issue for small reasons)
Full reviews as usual at my comic reviews site for anyone interested.
Work was okay. Took the long walk, sore and tired now because I did something stupid and bought something for the roommates because it was a good deal and ended up lugging around the equivalent of 3 2L bottles for about 3 hours of walking.
Worse? On the way home, there was a place offering FREE GYROS. I guess it was a grand opening type thing, but I don't know for sure. In any event, I
(sniffle) had to pass, because the line was super long and I was sore and tired from the lugging of the 6L of liquid and packaging for 3 hours. NO FREE GYRO FOR ME, WHAT A CRUEL WORLD.
Ah well.

I will love checking out the comix review - I'm a silver age gal, now toe-in-the-water with new comix. I also adore speculative fiction. Have you read stuff by Vernor Vinge such as A Deepness in the Sky (1 of trilogy) or The Peace War (1 of two-ology), which are insanely amazing multi-leveled AltReality?
Oh, yeah, and I write Supes/Bats slash and Supes/Luthor slash.

I was quite pleased with it at the time since I was using a crappy Windows 3.1 graphics program, way before I had Photoshop or the like.
Yeah, I really like Vinge, particularly A Fire Upon the Deep and a Deepness in the Sky. Haven't read the Peace War yet, but I intend to at some point. Nice to have another SF fan on my flist. :)
I'm not a slash person myself (despite making a few jokes as such in my icons, since they're usually based on things in
