My god, that was craptacular.

RTD is such an incredible hack, and writes worse SF than Star Trek. He should be banned from SF writing forever. Yeah, there's one or two good moments in this, but gag.

*only 4 more specials of his work to go*

Maybe if we're really lucky, some writer will come along and completely retcon most of RTD's run.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. Not the hatchet job mass retcon I was expecting. And there was plenty to enjoy even though many elements left a bad taste in my mouth. Davros and the German Daleks sold it to me if nothing else did.

I dunno, RTD has his moments, definitely. That said, I'm looking forward to Stephen Moffat's "run" :D

I watched it and went 'Uh wait WHAT?' for like an hour later, then decided I have to let it settle a bit more, then go back and watch both parts together to see if it makes more sense.

I didn't think it SUCKED, I just thought it was really blatantly 'we're going to wrap this all up in a nice shiny bow and start all fresh next series!' and stuff.

However, I think he needs to stop messing with Jack's wrist thingy. :(
