My Christmas

newnumber6Okay, here's my big long Christmas post. Family came over, we sat around, then ate, then opened presents, then my brother, his gf, my dad and stepmom and I all headed off to my aunt's house and saw all the cousins, had more food, and got a little money.
For presents I got: money (yay), a $15 gift card from chapters/indigo and an X2 poster from my brother and his gf (the X2 poster was actually one I was considering buying when the movie first came out. Cool one with X in Cerebro in the center and the other pictures arranged in a sort of circle).
Clodhoppers (peanut budder fudge graham wafer clusters) from some stepcousins, socks, a couple shirts, and two lottery gift packs (which together won me $13).
Of the gifts I gave they seemed to be received well. My dad seems interested in the whole Icewind Dale collection I got him. My stepmother seemed far too surprised (but in a pleased way) about this angel-snowglobe I got her, but she seemed to like it. Included chocolates with the gift certificates I gave to step-siblings, but they seemed to appreciate them. Got my brother the 3rd edition DMG, so of course he'd like it.
Lessee.. what else... pajamas for my grandmother, she did the whole 'you shouldn't have, I don't need anything!' type things. Got my brothers gf a t-shirt from her favorite band... she already had the same design on a sweatshirt but it was falling apart she said so I think she liked it. Oh, and my step-neice seemed to really liked the little stuffed unicorn, said she was going to sleep with it that night, so that was cute.
At my aunt's house we watched some of the DVD of my cousin's wedding from this summer. I was barely in it, but when I was, wow, I barely recognized myself. It occured to me that I've almost never seen myself, in motion, except close up and with a more or less head on view. Seeing myself at a distance, I just look like a somewhat familiar looking stranger. Odd.
