newnumber6Went to the bakery to get a bag of chips for lunch (because I like to eat healthily), and while there I noticed a familiar face/voice.. it was my old high school English teacher. Somehow, I approached him and mentioned that he used to teach me. He only sort of vaguely remembered me, or was lying, saying the face looked sort of familiar. Didn't spend too long filling in the details for him, though, because the act of initiating a conversation was already taking a psychological toll on me.
Oddly enough, if I'd chosen to wear my magic jacket (it was just a bit too warm out), he probably would have stood a much better shot of remembering me, because, although it's not the same jacket, it's of the same color and very similar style to the first incarnation of the Magic Jacket, that I wore way back then.
He was a good teacher, one of the better ones I had. He was also the only teacher who played any role in 'My One Decent High School Story'. Everyone should be able to get at least one story out of high school that they can tell other people, and he was important in mine. Maybe if I get bored/nostalgic/pestered enough, I'll share it sometime.
