Book Foo Vote!
Jan. 28th, 2004 06:27 pmTomorrow I should finish Downbelow station. I've looked over my bookshelf and, with the exception of a couple huge hardcovers I don't want to lug around on my day from hell, I don't have any books I haven't read. So, I'm going into rereads. Now, I've narrowed it down to the following three (all three are more or less 'comfort books', oddly enough, and ones I can read again and again.. and have, at least 3 times for each).
Alas Babalon, by Pat Frank (mid 50s post-nuclear war survival tale)
Jumper, by Stephen Gould (novel about a teenager who discovers that he, apparently alone in the world, can teleport anywhere he's ever been, and how this changes his life)
Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card (super-intelligent children trained in the art of space warfare).
So, I'm opening it up to a vote! Unless, of course, you all vote one way and I decide I don't want to read that after all and decide on something else (although right now I'm not set on any).
I'll choose tomorrow morning before I leave.

Date: 2004-01-29 02:49 am (UTC)no, I'm obsessive, I hate libraries, I need to own books I read. That way I can read them again any time I want.
