Random stuff
Jan. 6th, 2005 05:47 pmSo, today, my stepmother's friend who I occasionally do typing for dropped by to give me a belated Xmas gift. Was just a assorted bag of stuff and a box of licorice candy (which I hate, but, being polite, I didn't mention, along with the fact that it was wrapped and I didn't open it until after she was gone), plus $20, which was really nice. A nice surprise overall, since I really wasn't expecting it. Pretty much makes me come away even on the Wolves of the Calla expenditure, too. ;)
Also, y'ever notice how when a fictional TV show has another TV show (or commercial, or film) inside of it (where the characters are watching or participating in it somehow)... the show-within-a-show is always crappy? Like, to the extent that for me, my suspension of disbelief is broken because I can't imagine something like it actually airing? It just doesn't _look_ right. This is especially prevalent in sitcoms, where even when the shows are supposedly _good_ shows, the dialog and acting seems to be horrible. I dunno, it just bugs me, randomly.
