New Comic Day + Meme update + other junk
Jan. 19th, 2005 04:00 pmThis week I got:
Birds of Prey #78 (not as good as usual, but not bad)
Cable/Deadpool #11 (fun, more comedic than usual)
Daredevil #69 (still don't much like this arc)
Madrox #5 (end to the mini, hope that 'what comes next' comes true)
Outsiders #19 (okay, not thrilled with the art or subject matter)
Spider-Man: India #3 (novelty wearing off, but will probably get the last issue)
Teen Titans #20 (rather moving actually, good job)
Wanted #6 (disappointment)
X-Men #166 (fairly good start for Peter Milligan)
Full reviews of course at http://www.unreachablestar.net.
For lunch, I didn't have a gyro because it was cold and snowy, so I took the bus instead of walking to the station and stopping at the gyroplace on the way. Instead, I stopped in at a McDonalds near my comic shop, and had one of their new toasted deli sandwiches... specifically, the Reuben. And, it's not bad. It's actually the kind of thing I might actually like to order from McDonalds, which I don't do too often since their burgers aren't big enough or good enough for me to spend money on them. But this was a nice sandwich. I'll probably try some of the others over the winter, anyway.
There's still one outstanding quote from my movie quotes meme, but since it's off my friends page, I'm re-presenting it here, with a clue:
2. "What's the military industrial complex? Have you ever been there? I'm tellin' you, it's not that complex." - Cube,

So, I present the following clue: This was a horror film made in Canada. It had a sequel, which literally added another dimension to the whole situation.
