New Comic Day!
Feb. 23rd, 2005 03:39 pmBig week this time around. This week I got:
Batgirl #61 (good issue, nice character work)
Excalibur #10 (okay, fell kind of flat)
Mystique #24 (final issue, not really satisfying either)
Outsiders #21 (dislike the art, but nice twist made up for it)
Sleeper Season Two #9 (plot movement is good)
Spider-Man: India #4 of 4 (does the job but no surprises)
Ultimate Nightmare #5 of 5 (waited this long for this?)
Uncanny X-Men #456 (pretty goofy, but not too bad)
X-Men #167 (something of a mess)
X-Men: Phoenix Endsong #3 (my Pick of the Week again)
Full reviews of course up at The Unreachable Star.
Had a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch, and work was okay. Somewhat interestingly, saw someone from work (the sunday version though) at the subway on the way to comics. My current kind-of-but-not-really crush, she's got a cute pixie-ish face. Didn't spot her at first (my eyes suck and I was tired), but she called me by name and so I said hi and exchanged a few words but then she went back to talking to her friend even while we shared a busride. No look-back-and-wave when she got off, either, but ah well. Work wasn't too bad either.
